1. If thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
2. Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
3. He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.
4. Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
5. He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
6. Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repaid.
7. A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.
8. He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
9. The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.
10. Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
11. A virtuous woman is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
12. A virtuous woman riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
13. A virtuous woman considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
14. A virtuous woman girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
15. A virtuous woman perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
16. A virtuous woman stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
17. A virtuous woman maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
18. A virtuous woman’s husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
19. A virtuous woman’s strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
20. A virtuous woman openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
